Storm Warnings – Sold Out

“Storm Warnings” depicts Hurricane David coming onshore at the Charleston, SC battery in 1979.  This is the painting that really put Jim Booth on the map!  Jim released this image the year before Hurricane Hugo hit Charleston in 1989.  After Hurricane Hugo everyone thought this image was a painting of Hugo and it then sold out quickly.  This gave Jim the idea to paint The Storm, depicting Hurricane Hugo coming on shore at night.  All of Jim’s published paintings of Charleston’s battery homes can be seen under The Battery Tag.
