Morris Island Light – Original Pen and Ink
Untitled pen and ink of the Morris Island Lighthouse by Jim Booth. This early painting is from before 1977 when Jim was working for Ambassador Graphics. The original had been framed since the 1970. The browning is from the acid in the old framing materials. You can see both pencil guide lines under the ink. The squiggly lines on the outer edge, top right, are where Jim made marks getting his pen flowing properly!
Jim wished for all of his remaining original paintings to be used to benefit charity and/or be put on display for public enjoyment.
