Angel Oak – Original Painting

Charleston’s famous Angel Oak Tree – located on Johns Island!  Today the Angel Oak Tree can be visited as it is part of a City of Charleston public park.  Jim painted this acrylic on canvas in 1996. The painting is in it’s original Larson Juhl frame with an outside dimension of 56″ x 36″.  From the original sales brochure:  “Angels are surely present where a live oak has withstood the test of time for over 1400 years.”

1140 Limited Edition Prints were produced as lithographs on paper.  These prints sold out in the late 1990’s.  Classic Edition Posters and Mini Cards are still available for purchase HERE.

The Lowcountry Land Trust is planning out public use for additional land surrounding the Angel Oak Tree – The Angel Oak Preserve.  Learn more about the Lowcountry Land Trust’s efforts and how to get involved HERE.

Jim wished for all of his remaining original paintings to be used to benefit charity and/or various organizations.
